Het nieuwe festival Haperende Mens brengt confronterende muziek, kunst en film naar de Melkweg. De line-up bestaat uit vele internationale noise, industrial en psych artiesten.
Haperende Mens brengt confronterende kunst en muziek en focust op die momenten waarop we overdonderd of verstoord worden en controle verliezen. Enerzijds krachten die de mens te boven gaan zoals natuurkrachten, rampen of oorlogsgeweld, anderzijds krachten die deel uitmaken van het mens-zijn: oncontroleerbare emoties, lust, liefde, ziekte en dood. De Haperende Mens kunstenaars en musici laten ons ervaren dat wij ons leven nooit volledig kunnen beheersen, controleren of sturen, tonen ontwrichting en confronteren ons met onze haperingen.
Haperende Mens is in 2014 een samenwerkingsproject van de Melkweg, Arti et Amicitiae en Haperende Mens. Het is een vervolg op de goed ontvangen tentoonstelling ‘Collages van een haperende mens’ uit 2013.
